You are encouraged to transmit your application well before the deadline. IIPS will automatically time-stamp each application when the file transmission begins. ALL APPLICATIONS MUST HAVE AN IIPS TRANSMISSION TIME STAMP NO LATER THAN 5:00 PM EASTERN TIME ON MARCH 18, 2005. An application with transmission beginning after the aforementioned date and time, as demonstrated by the IIPS date/time stamp, will not be reviewed or considered for award.

Description:

The Stockpile Stewardship Program (SSP) is a
scientific approach to ensure the
safety, reliability, and performance of the nuclear stockpile in the
absence of
nuclear testing. The stewardship mission stresses increased fundamental
understanding of physical phenomena associated with stockpile performance,
safety, and reliability, as well as the preservation and enhancement of
core
science and technology competencies within the National Nuclear Security
Administration/Defense Programs (NNSA/DP) complex.
